Welcome from Director

Welcome to the website of Feis Maitiú, Corcaigh, a Music and Drama Festival which is held each year at our venue The Father Mathew Hall, in the centre of Cork City. Our extensive Syllabus has Classes in Singing, Instrumental Music, Speech & Drama, in both English and Irish.

The Festival takes place each year from the end of January to the start of April, with the various sections rotating annually within that time frame. The Festival provides a platform for performers of all ages to present their work before experienced professional adjudicators who assess, encourage and help improve performances. Adjudicators are chosen for their expertise in each performance subject. Certificates, medals and trophies are awarded for particularly exceptional performances. Some Bursaries and Scholarships are offered each year.

Further details on our event are available under the various tabs of this website, which we hope you will find helpful. Please feel free to contact us should you require any other information.

Feis Maitiú is granted aided by the Department of Education and Skills with funding from the National Lottery and is an International Festival Member of the British and International Federation of Festivals. The Evening Echo is our media sponsor.
